Agenda Item: VII.E.

Consider/Approve Request from Black Oak Elementary to Carry-Over Outstanding Purchase Orders/Accounts Payable as of June 30, 2013

Background Information:

In accordance with the Tennessee Internal School Uniform Accounting Policy Manual, “the local board must approve accounts payable that will not be liquidated during the current fiscal year.”

Black Oak Elementary School has submitted a listing of outstanding purchase orders that will most likely not be liquidated prior to June 30, 2013, and requests Board approval for these outstanding encumbrances. The goods and services, which total $10,469.75, were encumbered during the 2012 – 2013 school year.

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the above-noted request submitted by Black Oak Elementary School.
